Josep Guardiola i Sala, also known as Pep Guardiola, is a Spanish football manager and
former player who played as a defensive midfielder. He is currently in charge of Manchester
City.
He is the first coach to win the so-called "Continental Triple Crown of Europe" with two
different teams and also in two different leagues, as well as being the youngest coach to win
the UEFA Champions League. Guardiola is often regarded as the best manager of our time
and as one of the greatest coaches of all time, having been a finalist for the FIFA Coach of
the Year award five times since 2010, when the award first appeared. However, he won the
award only once, in 2011.
